Stress shows up on your skin. The tightness, the breakouts, that tired looking dullness. They tend to arrive when you have been running hard for a long time. So we work on both, the surface, and what sits underneath it.

C.P.R. Skin and Breath

Patrick's method, taught secularly and grounded in breathwork. Skincare is where you start. This is how you go deeper.

Consciousness

Understanding your skin as communication. You learn to recognize what your skin is responding to.

Presence

Bringing awareness into your skincare ritual. Slowing down enough for your body to respond.

Reset

Supporting the skin's ability to return to balance. Not forcing change, allowing regulation over time.

Not a quick fix. A way home.

Ling Chan and her son Patrick Chan, surrounded by the customers they have helped

Beautiful inside and out was always my mother's intention.

I was born in Brooklyn, to parents who came here from Hong Kong. My mother, Ling Chan, founded LING in 1976 and became a renowned master celebrity esthetician over four decades. I grew up in it, and at twenty two I joined the family business to work alongside her.

Here is what most people never saw. Behind closed doors, my mother struggled. With her health. With her emotional world. With her sense of self worth. She had built something extraordinary and she could not find that same peace for herself.

I spent years looking for tools that might help her. I trained in Tibetan Buddhist mind practices and traveled to monasteries in India. I studied breathwork. I had a spiritual awakening at a Joe Dispenza retreat that genuinely changed how I understood the mind and energy and how it affects our self identity, emotions and body.

But by the time I had everything I needed, we were running out of time.

That loss never left me, and it became the reason I do this. I was born into a skincare family for a reason, and it was not only to help people look good. Skincare is where you start. The breath is how you come home to yourself and how you can control your state of being.

Everything people ask before they start.

What is C.P.R. Skin and Breath?

Patrick's method. C stands for Consciousness, understanding your skin as communication. P is Presence, bringing awareness into your skincare ritual. R is Reset, supporting the skin's ability to return to balance over time.

Do I have to do the breathwork, or can I just buy skincare?

Just skincare is completely fine. Many people start with a kit and find the breathwork later. The free breathwork video and workbook come with many kits if you want to try it.

Is the 5 step ritual free?

Yes, it is free. It is not open yet, so join the waitlist on the ritual page.

Is the breathwork a medical treatment?

No. Skincare and breathwork support how you look and feel. They do not treat, cure or diagnose any condition. For any medical concern, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

What does the breathwork actually do?

A 2023 review of twelve randomized trials across 785 adults found breathwork associated with lower self-reported stress. That is the honest answer. Anything beyond it we would be guessing at.

Who should not do the breathwork?

Anyone who is pregnant, or who has a heart, breathing or blood pressure condition, glaucoma, epilepsy, a history of fainting or seizures, or panic disorder, should speak to their doctor first.

Where do I buy the skincare?

On lingskincare.com, which ships worldwide. Shipping times, costs and returns are explained on the store, and the LING team answers questions at orders@lingskincare.com.
